Slower speed limits approved for roads near 115 Sacramento schools The Sacramento City Council voted Tuesday night to lower speed limits on hundreds of streets near schools as part of implementing the city's Vision Zero Action Plan. The change establishes a 15 mph school zone speed limit on more than 200 qualified school area streets within 500 feet of schools.
