Jenkins is used for deployment as well. So basically to do a deployment with Jenkins, we must understand how a normal deployment process will happen. We have to be familiar with the concepts associated with the deployment process.

For the sake of simplicity, we are going to take Java for this video. We are going to deploy a simple Java web application which is a WAR file and deploy it on a server(container) called Tomcat. Tomcat is one of the most used and popular Java servers/containers.

This video is to understand the process of deployment manually so that we can understand the automated deployment via Jenkins better.
