Pakistan might get benefit of Chahbahar port as India takes US as ally, Russia is seeking to take advantage of the erratic actions of U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration in the latest U.S.-Iranian crisis to expand its influence in the Middle East. For now, Russia and Iran have a close alliance, but maintaining it over the long term may prove difficult, India joins Greece, Italy, Taiwan and Turkey which have stopped importing Iranian oil.
