Emerging Media Initiative "Headlines" web post. The Emerging Media Initiative Archive provides online access to news stories in print and video format dating from 2009 to 2013 highlighting the activities and the accomplishments of the Emerging Media Initiative (EMI) at Ball State University. EMI, led by Ball State University Associate Vice President for Emerging Media Initiatives David Ferguson, was a program funded by the Lilly Endowment Inc. to promote faculty research, student learning, and economic development in the area of digital media.
