Does the rise of black NBA execs mark the end of the plantation system in pro sports?

Does the rise of black NBA execs mark the end of the plantation system in pro sports? So does the rise in success of Raptors president Masai Ujiri and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan mark the end of "slavery" in the NBA?
