A Reasonable Day for a London Railway Trip (21st May 2019)

A Reasonable Day for a London Railway Trip (21st May 2019) Had a lovely plan to go and visit Meridian Water Station in this video and... no! The station opening was being delayed so its off to Hadley Wood, Kidbrooke, Lea Bridge, a quick visit to Angel Road (again) and Bethnal Green but the return journey doesn't go to plan.

After catching an Electric Multiple Unit from Rugeley Town to Rugeley Trent Valley, I caught the 0749 to London Euston. Once at Euston, I went to Highbury and Islington to catch a Great Northern service to Hadley Wood but on arrival, it came a little dissapointing due to the lack of LNER services due to overhead line damage and not a derailed freight train! Services were being cancelled but managed to catch 2 LNER IETs. Was hoping to catch another IET at London Kings Cross but ended up being cancelled so instead went to Old Street and onto London Bridge to catch a train to Kilbrooke to do some filming at this station which I'd never been before.

After Kilbrooke, I travelled to New Cross to change onto the London Overground and caught a Class 378 to Haggerston to change trains and then into Canonbury to change trains to get to Stratford (London) to board a Greater Anglia Class 317 to Lea Bridge station which is currently London newest station until Meridian Water Station opens.

After an hour, I moved onto Angel Road since there will be a separate video for Angel Road and Meridian Water but had to do a small update for that video. Then I took another Class 317 ride to Enfield Lock to change trains and took me to Hackney Downs. Even know I do love filming at this station, the plan was only to chage trains to catch a London Overground service to Bethnal Green for a 30 minutes filming session and then it onto the London Underground Station of Moorgate (not the Great Northern platforms!)

After Moorgate, I travelled back to London Euston to catch my train home... well no! they cancelled my train so I ended up catching a Virgin Trains Class 390 to Tamworth, then a CrossCountry service to Birmingham New Street and a West Midlands Railway service back to Rugeley Town. filmed 21st May 2019
