Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on May 26 suggested that in order to curb population growth, the government should bring in a law whereby third-borns would be bereft of voting rights. He also said that the country’s population should not cross 150 crore in the next 50 years. ‘India’s population should not be more than 150 crores in the next 50 years as we are not prepared or ready to bear more than that. This is only possible when the government makes a law that the third child would not be allowed to vote or contest elections, nor would he/she enjoy any type of privileges and facilities given by the government.
