Sukhbir thanks Punjabis for reposing faith in SAD-BJP as principal Opposition alliance

The Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today that he "is deeply touched by the faith people of Punjab have reposed in the SAD BJP as the principal Opposition alliance in the state.



In a statement here after the declaration of the Lok Sabha results for Punjab, Mr Badal said that he felt short of words to thank the Punjabis for this."



He said that the overwhelming surge of love and trust which the people of Ferozepur had reposed in him personally had also filled him with tremendous humility and responsibility. He also thanked the people of Bathinda for giving a thumbs up to the SAD BJP candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal for the third time on the trot.

The SAD president said that the SAD BJP would try their best to discharge the duty which Punjabis had entrusted to them as the main opposition in the state."
