The scrap yard is a heaven when it comes to scrap metal from agricaltural machinery.
You can make hoes, tillers, rakes and other gardening and farming tools.
You'll need the disc from a disc harrow. It's thick and strong metal, will last for ages.
And it can be welded on with simple electrodes.
Draw the shape of the tool, making sure the cutting edge of the disc is at the edge.
Attach the rings for the handle, making sure they are durable. They will be getting a lot of strain. Weld on additional supports for them if necessary.
Small tillers and chopping hoes can be made entirely from metal. Even their handle and body.
The rings for the handles are pieces of pipe, 1.5 or 2mm wall thickness. The same pipe can even be welded on and used as handle on larger chopping hoes.
