Governor Mutua says leaders peddling politics during funerals be barred
Leaders who take advantage funeral gatherings to peddle politics should be barred from speaking in such occasions, Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Alfred Mutua has said.
Mutua says the widespread culture among a section of the political class in the country has no place in modern civilization and should, therefore, be done away with.
“Some people wait for someone to die so that they can use the audience that has come to pay homage to the deceased and the funeral as a platform for insulting others and to engage in empty politics. That is not only selfish and greedy but also wrong and sinful,” said Dr Mutua who is also the Machakos governor.
