The reason why Evra is so hated in France - Oh My Goal

To many people, he is “Mr Good Mood” or “Mr I Love this Game”! Patrice Evra, former Manchester United left-back, is probably the funniest former football player in the world. If Dani Alves wasn’t so crazy, Evra would probably be the FUNNIEST player on Instagram.

But weirdly enough, Evra is probably…one of the most hated people in France! Why is this? How can a player that is so loved abroad - in particular in England - be so harshly criticized and despised in his home country?
