At least 114 people have died and more than 300 remain hospitalized in India for drinking adulterated alcohol, according to local media. The victims are mostly tea plantation workers from the state of Assam. Police arrested 12 individuals for their alleged involvement in the sale of the contaminated liquor. The news shakes the country just two weeks after almost a hundred people lost their lives by another similar intoxication of adulterated alcohol.
