Sama Bajau -
The Sama-Bajau refers to several Austronesian ethnic groups of Maritime Southeast Asia with their origins from the southern Philippines. The name collectively refers to related people who usually call themselves the Sama or Samah; or are known by the exonyms Bajau (/ˈbɑːdʒaʊ, ˈbæ-/, also spelled Badjao, Bajaw, Badjau, Badjaw, Bajo or Bayao) and Samal or Siyamal (the latter being considered offensive). They usually live a seaborne lifestyle, and use small wooden sailing vessels such as the perahu (layag in Meranau), djenging, balutu, lepa, pilang, and vinta (or lepa-lepa).[5] Some Sama-Bajau groups native to Sabah are also known for their traditional horse culture.
Korowai people -
The rainforest is a haunt of killer snakes, lethal microbes, insects and giant spiders. There, high in the trees, lives the Korowai People, one of the last tribes in the world that practices cannibalism, but for ritual purposes. Some Korowai people threaten to kill outsiders the moment they enter the Korowai territory.
Asaro Tribe -
Legend is that they were defeated by an enemy tribe and forced to flee into the Asaro River. They waited until dusk before attempting to escape. The enemy saw them rise from the muddy banks covered in mud and thought they were spirits.
Nenets People -
They ended up between the Kanin and Taymyr peninsulas, around the Ob and Yenisey rivers, with only a few of them settling into small communities like Kolva. Their main subsistence comes from hunting and reindeer herding. ... Along with reindeer meat, fish is a major component in the Nenets' diet.
The Dogon -
The Dogon are an ethnic group living in the central plateau region of Mali, in West Africa, south of the Niger bend, near the city of Bandiagara and in Burkina Faso. The population numbers between 400,000 and 800,000.[1] They speak the Dogon languages, which are considered to constitute an independent branch of the Niger–Congo language family.[2]
The Dogon are best known for their religious traditions, their mask dances, wooden sculpture and their architecture. The past century has seen significant changes in the social organisation, material culture and beliefs of the Dogon, partly because Dogon country is one of Mali's major tourist attractions.
