Trial 5 involves mixing two test tubes in hot water. The purple solution in the test tube is 1.0 mL of potassium permanganate. This is mixed with an aqueous solution of 4.0 mL oxalic acid and 3.0 mL water. When these two solution first start to interact with one another, the start should be pressed on a stopwatch. Stop the stopwatch when the reaction has ended.
