Sport enthusiasts in Homa Bay are petitioning the devolved unit to improve fields in the region accusing them for turning a blind eye to the deteriorating state of sports facilities in the region.
Led by Joel Okawa, a retired footballer, the locals threatened to stage protests starting next week at the county offices to air their grievances.
“We have to restore the lost glory as far as sports is concerned in Homa Bay. We have legends in sporting activities who did us proud but no longer exist,” said Okawa.
