How to exercise in 4 point kneeling with inflexible wrists! | Yoga | Pilates | Ageing Well

How to exercise in 4 point kneeling with inflexible wrists! This is a fab alignment, but often avoided if it is uncomfortable on your wrists.

I have 3 options for you to try in your own home practice. The best one for you will depend on your goals and what is most comfortable for you.

1️⃣ perform the exercises on your knuckles, keeping your wrists straight.
2️⃣ roll up one end of the mat, and place the heel of your hands near the edge. This is an unstable surface which will add an extra challenge to the exercise.
3️⃣ use blocks under the heel of your hands to reduce angle, this is a more stable surface than using your mat.

It is hard in 4 point kneeling to know if you have the correct posture. An experienced teacher will be able guide you, so when you come to exercise on your own you can self-correct.

Are these options helpful? I would love to hear if you tried them
Take care of yourself,
Samantha
