#24 Polar Vortex And An Off-Grid Cabin- Staying Warm In Winter

Today we begin putting the insulation in our cabin. Our 2x12 roof rafters allow for us to use nice thick R-30 insulation with baffles behind it to allow the roof to breathe. With the temperatures dropping deep into the negatives with wind chill we are happy to be working inside and working towards making our home warm for winter...even if it means this is how we spend"date night"!
