Liverpool lost one of their biggest games in recent memory against Man City on Thursday night. Jurgen Klopp’s side were beaten 2-1, with Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane scoring for the hosts. As a result, Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table was cut to four points. Klopp reacted to the loss again on Saturday, saying he was fine with the performance. "We were unlucky in decisive moments, but that is absolutely okay because you cannot always be on the lucky side," he said, per Sky Sports. "I was fine with the performance. I was fine with our intensity in the game. It was difficult for Manchester City - that was our job - so I was really fine with what we did there. We lost - that's not so cool - but everyone saw it and it was a really tight game." But while Klopp refused to make any excuses for the game, the same cannot be said about some Liverpool fans. One Liverpool fan has come up with an excuse for the defeat and it’s absolutely laughable. Appearing on The Anfield Wrap, the fan blamed the pitch and said the length of the grass was too long. “I couldn’t believe the length of the Manchester City pitch, to the amount of which it cut up and the fact it did not look well. “It looked like a pitch that had been prepared for one thing and that was to stop fast passing. “This is a Pep Guardiola pitch that has been set up to stop fast passing. “I think that tells the story about how Man City approached the game about as much as anything else does.” Watch his complaints below: Melissa Reddy then agrees with the fan, saying they deliberately altered the pitch to try and prevent them transitioning as they usually do. Unbelievable stuff. Football fans saw his excuse and shared their feelings on Twitter. Many simple couldn’t believe what they were hearing.
